Frequently Asked Questions from IIPG Customers
Our standard coverage offerings are: If you require other coverages such as Workers' Compensation, property on the coast, or coverage for equipment or activities that we do not normally cover, be sure to speak to your Agent or Underwriter to see about other options that we can offer. We cover party equipment rentals, indoor party facilities, event planners, and entertainers with groups of less than 3 persons. These are offered on an annual
basis. Coverage for Halloween Houses/Agri-Amusement operations are offered on an annual or seasonal basis. There are four major differences between your current plan and the Fun Pro plan:
That depends. If you have higher receipts and lower inventory, the Fun Pro product is much lower in cost. If you have lower receipts and higher inventory, the pricing may be higher. However, as part of the merger, THOMCO is committed to making the transition as seamless as possible for you. Therefore, we will make every effort to keep your premium comparable to what it has been, even if it is lower than how we would normally rate your account. Bottom line: we want to welcome you as one of our many satisfied customers rather than to cause you sticker shock. No one can predict the future. Rates are based on the performance of the book of business as a whole - (again, the comparison of the cost of losses to the actual premium collected) and your individual account history. The insurer will be reviewing the statistics regularly throughout the year. We are confident that our Underwriting team will maintain pricing in such a way that there are no exorbitant increases in the future. If you speak to some of our current customers, you will learn that we make every effort to keep our prices steady and - in some cases - we have lowered the rates. Yes. If you use equipment only on a seasonal basis, it should be added for coverage on a year-long basis so that you have access whenever an opportunity arises. However, if you purchase a new piece, or decide to sell or discontinue use permanently, you should let your Underwriter or Agent know immediately. We add and remove equipment mid-term. Additional premium for adding equipment is charged and return premium for removing equipment is returned, based on a prorated calculation. If you do not already have an inventory list, the first one you make for us will take some time and effort. However, most of our customers indicate that keeping an inventory list for insurance has helped them to organize their equipment and to figure out which pieces are newer and more popular and which ones might be better off retired. Having a managed inventory generally means having a safer, more profitable inventory. The policy will cover only the pieces that are listed on the inventory list you provide. We will ask you to give us a serial or invoice number that will distinguish each piece from the rest. Any piece not specifically listed on the policy will not be covered. Therefore, if you use all of the pieces at different times throughout the year, you would need coverage on all of them. Your insurance coverage is a business decision that you make. We recommend that you cover everything you rent for General Liability. Most states have enacted or will soon enact laws that require you to do so. However, we cover only what you list on your itemized Equipment List. Unless there are special circumstances, however, our Underwriters want to write an account that has at least 50% of the total inventory covered. It is always wise to speak to your Agent, Underwriter or attorney if you have concerns about this issue. No. Rating is based on the number of party rooms and the activities, procedures and equipment at your facility, factors which are quite different from the risk factors involved with equipment rental. Based on loss experience, pricing for indoor facilities is higher than for equipment rentals. Yes, of course. We write General Liability in all 50 states. Just be sure to mention all office locations on your Fun Pro application so that they will be indicated on your policy. If you have certain equipment at certain locations, we will ask that you tell us that also. No problem. Your coverage is good in all states. If you move continuously throughout the year, however, check with your Agent or Underwriter as you may be considered more as a carnival business than a party rental operation and we would need to adjust our coverage accordingly. We write the program through The Steadfast Company, which is the surplus lines company for Zurich Insurance - North American Division. Zurich in not only one of the largest insurers in the world but also has an A+ financial rating. Zurich is known for its financial strength and excellent services. Zurich makes long-term commitments to its programs, which means that you will not be faced with changing carriers every few years. No. Your insurance policy is a contract between you and the insurance company. Once one of the parties (you) is no longer in the contract, it becomes null and void. Insurance contracts are not transferable. At your next renewal, Fun Pro Underwriters will automatically become responsible for the service on your renewal policy and all policies thereafter. Until your renewal, CSI will handle any service inquiries and requests that you may have.
